Simply Sax Concert and Visit With SANTA at the Library on Saturday, December 10, Following the Lighted Christmas Parade!

Wonewoc’s Annual Lighted Christmas Parade is coming on Saturday, December 10, beginning at 6 p.m. Immediately following the parade, the library will be offering a FREE Holiday Concert by local saxophone quartet Simply Sax! Light refreshments will be served. In addition, Santa will be hopping off his float and stopping by the library, where he’ll be available for pictures in front of our Christmas tree (please bring your own camera and/or phone for photos) and handing out treat bags, courtesy of the Wonewoc Lions and Wonewoc Fire Department! Be sure to join us for a little holiday cheer with wonderful music, good food, and great friends!!

Closed Thanksgiving

The Library will be closed on Thursday, November 24, to celebrate Thanksgiving. We will be open normal business hours on Friday, November 25. We wish everyone a fun and safe holiday!

Wags ‘N Tales

Wags ‘N Tales Early This Month!

Due to Thanksgiving, Wonewoc Public Library’s Wags ‘N Tales reading program will be held a week earlier than usual this month. Elementary school students are invited to come to the library on Monday, November 14, to practice reading with therapy dog Murphy and his owner, Deb Schultz. Children can bring their own books or pick books off the library shelves to read. Parents are asked to call the library at 608-464-7625 to sign their child up for a time slot. The slots available are 6:00 p.m., 6:15 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.

4-H Pumpkin Contest

Vote for Your Favorite Pumpkins During National 4-H Week!

Stop by the library to check out the Wonewoc Badger’s awesome display on the lawn for National 4-H Week! And while you’re here, check out all the decorated pumpkins in the display and then stop inside to vote for your favorites! There are three categories–Little Youth, Older Youth and Adults/Businesses–so be sure to vote for them all!

Back-to-School Cafe

Back-to-School Cafe on Thursday, September 1

The kids are back in school, and whether you’re mourning an empty house or enjoying some “me” time, we’re here to help! Stop by the library on Thursday, September 1, for our annual Back-to-School Cafe. We’ll be serving treats from 9-3, so stop in for a snack, catch-up time with neighbors, and a chance to see all your library has to offer.

Summer Reading Through September

Summer Reading Continues Through August 26!

Programming may be over, but we know you’re still reading! Remember that Summer Reading continues through Friday, August 26. Just stop by the library with your logsheets (kids through age 12), put the title of the book you read into our weekly drawing (teens and adults), or log reading time/books digitally through Beanstack and earn prizes through the “unoffical” end of summer!

Please join us as we present the last Concert on the Library Lawn of this summer on August 15 at 6:30 pm, featuring Wonewoc’s own Leah Rachuj and presented by the Friends of the Wonewoc Library.
