Summer Reading Extended Through September 3!
Programming may be over, but we know you’re still reading! Summer Reading has been extended through Friday, September 3. Just stop by the library with your logsheets (kids through age 12), put the title of the book you read into our weekly drawing (teens and adults), or log reading time/books digitally through Beanstack and earn prizes through the “unoffical” end of summer!
Join us on Monday, August 16, at 6:30 pm for our final Friends of the Wonewoc Library Concert this summer, featuring Leah Rachuj! Please bring a blanket or lawn chair, but leave pets at home. Due to COVID, refreshments will not be served, so please feel free to bring your own water or soda. Library Will be Closed During Village-Wide Power Outages
The Wonewoc Public Library will be closed the afternoons of August 10 and 11 from 1 pm-on due to the planned Village-wide power outages. The Village of Wonewoc itself will experience the power outages from 1-6 pm on August 10 and 11.
American Jam Concert on the Lawn Monday, July 26!
Join us on Monday, July 26, at 6:30 pm when local favorite American Jam will take to the stage for the next Friends of the Wonewoc Library Concerts on the Library Lawn! Please bring a blanket or lawn chair, but leave pets at home. Due to COVID, refreshments will not be served, so please feel free to bring your own water or soda. ZooZort Live Animal Show Coming to the Library!
Join us on Tuesday, July 27, at 1 pm for ZooZort’s Live Animal Show! Learn about and meet a range of exotic animals right in our Community Room!
Monday Night Group Ride!
Join us for a Group Ride of the 400 Trail! This event is open to adults and families (children must be accompanied by an adult). We’ll meet behind the Library on Monday, July 19, and head out at 6:30 pm, with a rain date of Tuesday, July 20, at 6:30. Bring a trail pass (anyone 16 and over–available at Neighbors Sandwich Bar & Deli), your bike, a helmet (if you have one), a water bottle, a quick snack, bug spray and sunglasses. We’ll be taking a tour of the trail, riding 30 minutes toward LaValle and back. See you there!

Our virtual presentation of Sharon Page and Her Circus Dogs has been extended a full week due to popular demand! You, our Wonewoc patrons, have collected the fourth most views of the show of any library in Wisconsin so far! We are thrilled to announce that The Friends of the Wonewoc Library’s community concert series will once again be taking place on the library lawn this summer! Our first concert is coming up Monday, July 12, when Simply Sax will be performing beginning at 6:30 pm. Please bring a blanket or lawn chair, but leave pets at home. Due to COVID, refreshments will not be served, so please feel free to bring your own water or soda. In case of rain the event will be moved to the Wonewoc Legion Hall–watch this space and Facebook for updates.
The Friends also will be holding their Annual Basket Silent Auction beginning on Monday, July 12, and running through Friday, July 23, with final bids taken at close of business at 5:30 pm. Winners will be notified on Monday, July 26, and baskets can be picked up anytime that week.
